Worship is . . .
Welcoming. We believe that God loves everybody and seeks out each person as they are. We know that not everyone shares the same life experience or the same experience of what is holy. We create a open space for worshipers to meet God and each other and to engage in worship on many levels.
Open. Prior knowledge of our traditions (or any tradition) is not necessary to experience meaningful worship with us. We cultivate an atmosphere of invitation toward each other and all who come seeking a place of peace and a sense of belonging.
Connected to the moment. God is still speaking. In worship we listen for ways that ancient wisdom sheds light on our lives today and inspires us to live fully and freely in God’s way of love.
Joyful and engaging. Through our vibrant music, celebration of the sacraments, prayer, and engaging with the word, we invite joy and peace into our time together.
Thoughtful. We come with curiosity—seeking together, not claiming to “know,” but always hoping to learn and grow. We respect and acknowledge the ability of everyone to discern for themselves their relationship with God. We believe that the rhythms and patterns of the liturgy open a place for the divine to enter in.
Transformative. We intend that worship challenge and inspire us to be led by our faith to be our "better selves" as we participate in our lives together and out in the world.
Still Curious?

We’re typically in worship for about an hour (10:15 - 11:15 am). On Communion Sundays, and days when there is a baptism or special event it may be slightly longer.

Yes! We are grateful to have a wonderfully creative Minister of Music, a talented volunteer choir, and professional soloists who bring depth and meaning to our worship. Our Austin-Konzelman Organ has 45 ranks and 2268 pipes, allowing for a range of musical experiences from majestic to playful to contemplative.

We celebrate the Service of the Lord’s Supper on the first Sunday of every month. We believe that this is God’s table, which is open to all who seek the connection to God’s love that it offers. Jesus ate and drank with many people from all walks of life throughout his ministry. His last supper was with those who would betray, deny, and abandon him in his darkest moment. In this we see a clear invitation that leaves no one out, but welcomes all with love.
Children are welcome to receive Communion with their parents’ permission. Since we believe that none of us fully knows or comprehends the mystery of faith, and because Jesus called the little children, we have no age requirements to receive the sacraments.
Those who don’t wish to receive the elements may receive a blessing. Gluten-free wafers are available.

Our main entrance at 6 West 96 th Street is level with the sidewalk, allowing easy access to our sanctuary. However, our restrooms are currently located down one flight of stairs.
We’ve begun the process of adding an accessible restroom on the ground floor of our building, which we hope to have available soon.
